An update on Murtlie the Rain Turtle:

While flying around in the sky, Murtle got caught up in a thunderstorm and was stricken by lightning. He was knocked unconscious and fell from the sky with enormous speed. Everyone who was caught in the collision died instantly. Those who were nearby were confused, shocked, and curious. No one knew what had just happened. When they came near to see what the wreckage was all about, they found a giant turtle with mushrooms growing all over its shell. And the shell was cracked.

A little starving peasant boy came near and thought to himself: I’m so hungry, the king will make us clean this big mess up and I will miss my dinner. How are we ever going to clean this mess up? Then a little thought came into his head; with all the mushrooms available, he can ask all the villagers to make a big turtle stew with mushrooms which could last them   for the entire winter. No one would be starving…… and that’s how Murtlie the Rain Turtle died…….

Murtlie The Rain Turtle

It is said that once every 10,000 years, you can look up at the sky and see a colorful turtle gliding on a cloud. If you are really lucky, you might catch a glimpse of mushrooms glimmering on his back.

The turtle’s name is Murtlie, and he has been around since before the rain and the clouds.

Some think he gave the clouds their form. Others believe the clouds took their shapes to mimic his shell.

In truth, no one really knows.

Fiddlesticks At Work

If you play games you might be able to see where I’m coming from with this:

“I’m a cute little fuzzy yordle, name Teemo. On my free time I like to go for strolls along the Twisted Tree Line and Summoner’s Rift. While on my strolls I plant gardens of mushrooms to make the world a better place. Sometimes I stop by to visit the Ancient Golem or Grez the Lizard Lord for small chats or just to seek their advice on how to get bullies like Fiddlesticks off my back. But all the Ancient Golem and the Lizard Lord can do is pick fights with me too. :(

One day, the Ancient Golem and the Lizard Lord went overboard and I accidentally gave them a bit too much of my shrooms. I ended up absorbing all their powers and bullies like Fiddlesticks stopped messing with me. But now, he keeps following me around and wanting to be on the same League as me. He’s scary looking and creepy. Tell him to stop following me around at work!”

P.S. – This scarecrow stands next to the printers at my work place and stares at me every time I go to get my printed materials…. (creepy). Reminds me of Fiddlesticks.

US Presidents Make Bomb Ass Steak Ad For Chinese Restaurant

Well, hellooo world! I guess it’s about time I “xedule” some time in and post something.

Last year I was traveling with a few friends in China and we saw some very interesting and some not so interesting things. I won’t share the not so interesting things with you, lest you decide on never visiting China. But anyway, being in the advertising industry and an American, I thought it was amusing to see our current and former Presidents being used on an ad in China.

Above, you can see this restaurant charges 98RNB a steak meal (about 6USD). That’s one cheap steak meal when you compare it to a standard US steak meal, but for the general Chinese population who makes about $20 to $100 USD a month – that’s a lot of money.

Can you imagine President Obama going for a tour in China and sees his face on a steak ad?   I wonder if he’ll get to eat there for free or have to pay the full price like every other person.
